In her book, "The Most Beautiful Places in Taiwan: Maps of National Parks," Chen Youling presents the cultural and natural features of ten national parks in Taiwan in the form of maps, allowing readers to understand Taiwan's topography and natural characteristics at a glance!

Since the establishment of Yellowstone National Park, the world's first national park, in the United States in 1872, there are now more than 3,800 national parks worldwide.

Taiwan has been promoting national parks and nature conservation since 1961. The National Park Act was enacted in 1972. Since 1984, nine national parks have been established, including Kenting, Yushan, Yangmingshan, Taroko, Shei-Pa, Kinmen, Dongsha Atoll, Taijiang, and the four southern islands of Penghu.
