The story begins with a brother and sister who accidentally wander into a mysterious fantasy museum, where they are transformed into two cats, one wearing a bow and the other a scarf. To their even greater surprise, they discover that this is actually a living museum.

The giant lily and pitcher plant gaze at them with their enormous leaves and petals, the mushroom family stands silently, and tiny fern leaves and mushrooms sprout from the heads of the two cats. Upon encountering a sparrow, wings sprout; upon jumping into the water, fins and tails grow. They play with ancient trilobites and converse with fossils. The Fantasy Museum allows them to don different costumes, truly entering the animal world and observing each other from the same perspective.

Higuchi Yuko, a Japanese illustrator who has risen to fame rapidly in recent years, has captured the hearts of many readers with her uniquely charming works. Her most frequent subject matter is anthropomorphic animals, with cats being her most frequently depicted and favorite subject. Her style appears sweet and cute at first glance, yet often incorporates incredible and somewhat eerie details. The overall style is gorgeous and delicate. About the Author

Higuchi Yuko

Japanese illustrator. Currently residing in Tokyo.

A graduate of Tama Art University, majoring in oil painting, her graduation work won the Ichiro Fukuzawa Award. Since 1999, she has held regular solo exhibitions in Tokyo and has collaborated with numerous well-known commercial brands, including Shiseido's MAJOLICA MAJORCA, Uniqlo, Holbein art supplies, Emily Temple Cute, Ninita, Goblin, Bortsprungt., MELANTRICK HEMLIGHET, ahcahcum, *Plam Maison*, and Spoon. Gravure, among others. In 2015, she established her own brand, "Gustave."
