Since I started collecting art books, I've collected quite a few of Xia Xiaoxun's art books, and I've been unpacking them one by one—《dreamer", "Accompanying Summer", "Seasonal Songs", "Forest Language", "hairy", "Elf Handbook"The Four Seasons Dream Talk" is another book that may be included in the future.
This book, "Summer Companion," mainly includes illustrations from the "Tarot Card" series, along with several healing short picture books.
The book also includes a set of 22 tarot cards (the kind that you have to disassemble yourself from the printed cardboard).
The book's overall design has many adorable aspects, and I especially love the small illustrations on the title pages of each short story!
Continuing the warm watercolor style, I prefer the works in this book to the previous one, "Dreamer." I especially love the arrangement of many of the objects. 💕
I was particularly struck by one of the stories about a girl with flowers growing on her head. The flowers on her head since birth had always been a source of distress for the girl, until a chance encounter one day allowed her to bravely face herself. As the story unfolds, each page also includes a different flower and its symbolic meaning. 🌷

About the Author
Xia Xiao Xun
Her real name is Li Xiaru, and she is from Changsha, Hunan, China. She is a freelance illustrator, picture book author, and teacher. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from the School of Design at the Central Academy of Fine Arts and later pursued a master's degree in watercolor painting at the School of Fine Arts at Hunan Normal University, focusing on both artistic creation and teaching. She wishes to spend her life with her paintbrush, telling stories from her heart and creating paintings with warmth.
