Since I started collecting art books, I've collected quite a few of Xia Xiaoxun's art books, and I've been unpacking them one by one—《dreamer", "Accompanying Summer", "Seasonal Songs", "Forest Language", "hairy", "Elf Handbook"The Four Seasons Dream Talk" is another book that may be included in the future.

This book, *Dreamer*, is Xia Xiaoxun's first commercial art collection, featuring works primarily based on fairy tales and well-known stories that are easily loved by the public. For example, there are numerous works depicting the Wild Swans at the beginning, Rapunzel, and Alice in Wonderland.
(The book comes with a thick reproduction print, which is quite sturdy compared to regular posters, haha.)
Regarding Eastern themes, aside from Nezha Conquers the Dragon King, I'm not very familiar with the others 🤣

The soft watercolor colors are very heartwarming, the figures and animals are adorable, and there are also many creative compositions and small objects.
The artwork included features a rich variety of drawing styles, each with its own unique characteristics!

Finally, there are 4 pages detailing the drawing process of the artwork, as well as an explanation of the artwork (which is actually just explaining the source of the fairy tale).

Official Introduction
"Dreamer" is the first personal art book by popular illustrator Xia Xiaoxun.
This collection comprehensively includes illustrations by Xia Xiaoxun from her recent works on fairy tale themes. The book is divided into three parts, each themed around a fairy tale or mythological story: "The Wild Swans" ("The Prince and Princess"); "Nezha Conquers the Dragon King" ("The Box of Oriental Fairy Tales"); and "The Nightingale" ("A Fantastic Adventure"). The beautiful style and soft colors bring each character to life; Xia Xiaoxun's meticulous depiction of expressions and movements fully conveys the story and its atmosphere, immersing the reader in a fairytale world resembling a fairy tale paradise. This sincere collection conveys the message: If you believe in miracles, then you are a dreamer of the night.
