Japanese manga artist and illustrator Hoshino Lily is responsible for the character designs, novel illustrations, and other related content for the original TV anime "Penguindrum." This unboxing of "Penguindrum: Hoshino Lily Art Collection" is a themed art book containing only illustrations from this work.

The illustrations in "Spin! Penguin Jar" blend reality and fantasy with a cute and dreamy style. The story employs many symbolic techniques, inviting viewers to freely associate and contemplate, which left a deep impression on me. While watching the animation, I was often captivated by the rich colors and whimsical scenes!

The art book, at 88 pages, isn't a large collection, but it includes the novel's cover, bonus illustrations from the anime, ending theme images for each episode, character design introductions (22 pages), an author interview, a special contribution from Kunihiko Ikuhara, director of "Spin! Penguin Can," and a two-page short black-and-white comic strip.

Hoshino Lily (Hoshino Lily/Hoshino Lily)

Japanese manga artist and illustrator. She rose to prominence with BL (Boys' Love) manga, but in recent years has focused on romance and fantasy manga for both men and women. Published works include *Dreaming Back to the Ancient Capital* and *Half-Demon Girl - The Tale of the Beautiful*, and she is also active in the doujinshi (fan-made comics) community. She designed the characters for the original Japanese anime *Spin! Penguin Jar* and also illustrated the cover for the *Spin! Penguin Jar* novel.
