"Irodori" is the first personal art book released by Japanese illustrator Yufushi at the end of 2015. It includes his hand-painted watercolor illustrations from 2006 to 2015, including original illustrations originally included in doujinshi, and cover and content illustrations for commercial collaboration books.

The endpapers are an elegant light purple; a transparent tracing sheet precedes the title page, and the decorative objects (goldfish, paper cranes, butterflies, flowers) throughout are exquisitely charming. 🦋

The book contains 128 pages, a collection of works that combine the transparency and vibrant colors of watercolor, with a substantial number of images; among them, 12 pages are black and white watercolor paintings, which also have a unique feature!

(It's a bit of a shame that in some of the double-page spreads, the person's face is positioned exactly in the center.)

The hand-painted watercolor works are impressive, and many pieces feature Japanese elements. The artist herself loves kimonos, and the details of both intricate and simple kimono patterns are meticulously crafted! 👘

Official Introduction

Popular author Yufuko's first art book

Popular artist Yufuko, known for her skillful use of the unique transparent texture of watercolor in her illustrations, creates beautiful color palettes and a strong sense of nostalgia, a style quite different from the current trend of computer-generated illustrations. Now, her first art book is finally being released, featuring a large collection of her works published in doujinshi, various commercial publications, book covers, and exhibitions. These include works such as "Eating Flowers," "Desert Flower," "The Type Club," "Invading Girl and the Garden of Lies," "Crane," "Golden Lantern," and "Silver Osmanthus and White Peacock," totaling approximately 200 illustrations that thoroughly showcase the charm of kimono-clad girls and schoolgirls.
