Released by Broccoli on June 24, 2010, the hugely popular otome visual novel music game "Uta no Prince-sama" for the PSP tells the story of Nanami Haruka, who dreams of becoming a composer. After entering the Saotome Academy, a performing arts school, she embarks on a year-long school life with many male protagonists who also aspire to become stars, all in an effort to pass the new talent scouting and debut performance. In July 2011, it was adapted into an anime titled "Uta no Prince-sama MAJI LOVE 1000%," which received a great response. The second season, "Uta no Prince-sama MAJI LOVE 2000%," aired in April 2013. The official anime website announced on December 2, 2013, that a third season was in production and scheduled to air in 2015. Fans of the Uta no Prince series are undoubtedly eagerly anticipating it.

The first season of the anime is adapted from the main game, telling the story of Nanami Haruka and the seven male protagonists who meet and grow together at Saotome Academy. In the second season, Haruka, having passed her graduation performance, joins an agency. To prepare for their debut, they take elite courses, where each of the male protagonists is mentored by four very different seniors: the sunny and considerate Kotobuki Reiji, the serious but gentle Kurosaki Ranmaru, the youngest but strict and sharp-tongued mysterious boy Mikaze Ai, and the aloof and arrogant nobleman Camus.
