"In an Instant" is the first personal collection of works by Japanese illustrator Sogawa. The collection contains 160 pages and more than 180 illustrations, including the author's original works and commercial artwork (the two each make up about half of the book). There are illustrations of the Hatsune Miku family that everyone is familiar with, various novel covers, and character designs for VTuber Yuzuka.

The original works feature a series-like theme, depicting the "movement and stillness" of a young girl. It's clear the artist likes to use water elements to embellish the pieces (splashing water, water droplets, water beads), highlighting a sense of dynamism (very much like a print advertisement XD)! 💦

When I first see a piece of art, I'm always drawn to the subject's bright or strikingly colored eyes—they're so beautiful!

The art book also includes a few sketches, as well as the creation process of the 12-page cover illustration.

Illustrator.

Currently residing in Tokyo, she became fascinated by the allure of the word "girl" around the age of 14. She then combined various materials to create illustrations that showcase the charm of young girls.

I started creating illustrations in February 2019.

I love buckwheat noodles.
