exist TAAZE The secondhand pop-up book I unexpectedly acquired above.

The book, published in 2009, has some yellowing, but that doesn't diminish the enjoyment of reading it at all. The content is still very fresh and doesn't feel dated XD

That gorgeous, colorful cover, with its Disney aura, is attractive in itself.

ABC Disney is an alphabet book where each letter from A to Z is paired with a corresponding Disney character for a pop-up paper art design. For example, A = Ariel, the Little Mermaid; M = Mulan; and non-personal names include X for eXcalibur, the sword in the stone, and V for villains like Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians, Jafar from Aladdin, and Mavisher from Sleeping Beauty.

I was quite pleased to find that almost all of them were works I recognized.

It doesn't only include the main characters; there are quite a few unexpected supporting characters, such as Zazu from The Lion King, Kaa from The Jungle Book, and Iago from Aladdin. It just so happens that all the examples are animals (there are so many animal supporting characters XD).

(Three princesses are absent: Aurora, Belle, and Jasmine)

Each of the small doors that open has a different pattern on the cover. In addition to the beautiful brushstrokes, the design is also connected to the characters/style inside, which shows great care!

The fusion of pop-up book master Robert Sabuda's paper art skills and Disney is truly amazing. The creative 3D structures vividly capture the unique characteristics of each Disney character! For example, Bambi's slender, seemingly about-to-fall limbs (bad!), Dumbo's flapping ears, and Pinocchio's retractable nose. (Suddenly realized they all start with "little," haha!)

Surprisingly, I also found materials other than paper in two of the panels: thin hemp rope to represent the bowstring of Robin Hood's arrow, and a transparent sheet to separate Ursula's mirror from the outside world.

What also amazed me was the paper art design of the "Sword in the Stone" panel. In addition to the dynamic effect of drawing the sword, it also incorporated the sound effect of paper rubbing together, making a "pop" sound when the sword is fully drawn.

This is truly a pop-up book that you'll want to keep flipping through; it's absolutely my favorite! 💛

The 3D paper art design is absolutely stunning, fulfilling the desire to collect all the princesses at once! 😍

Robert Sabuda's pop-up fairy tale series is also a very well-known and classic work, such as "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz", "Alice in Wonderland"And so on, constantly bringing one amazing mechanism after another!"
