Remember the anime "PSYCHO-PASS"? Just this year (2022), on August 14th, the official announcement revealed that to commemorate its 10th anniversary, a theatrical film, "PSYCHO-PASS PROVIDENCE," will be released.

The world of "PSYCHO-PASS" is set in a dystopian "modern" society in the future (21XX), where the Sibyl System governs all aspects of human life (including job suitability, life planning, potential crimes, etc.). The Sibyl System's tiny eyes (monitors) constantly scan the mental state of every citizen in order to maintain the perfect survival of human society.

Simply put, the central question running through the entire work is, "What is justice?" The word "justice" is too heavy; who or what should judge it? With different people and different perspectives, who should decide who is right and who is wrong?

The main anime series, seasons 1, 2, and 3, concluded with the 2020 theatrical film "PSYCHO-PASS 3: FIRST INSPECTOR." The three theatrical spin-off series, Sinners of the System (SS), is presented as Case 1 to 3, which is the content of the setting book that we are unpacking today!

The art book's cover has consistently been designed by Shinya Kogami (the inside cover features line art), and there's even a fold-out poster of him at the very beginning—he's really popular XD

This art book includes all three side stories from the SS series: "Case 1: Sin and Punishment," "Case 2: First Ghuardian," and "Case 3: Beyond Enmity." It contains a wealth of details, including timelines, character designs, terminology and objects, plot outlines, art backgrounds, and event explanations. The accompanying text makes the images appear smaller in comparison. Finally, there are interviews with the production team and voice actors, who share their ideas for the world-building and creation.

🌟 Additional information: For the PSYCHO-PASS anime viewing order, as long as the main series is watched in the order of seasons 1, 2, 3, plus the theatrical film First Inspector, other movies and spin-offs can be watched independently.
