This book, *miroirs*, is a collection of comics inspired by the story of Gabrielle Chanel, the founder of Chanel (yes, her nickname was Coco), and the brand's philosophy. It features three captivating short comics presented by the familiar duo of Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Izumi.

The gorgeous book cover is lovely; it uses a special silver-bound technique, mirroring the original Japanese book design, giving it a magical and luxurious look that sparkles under the light! ✨

Set in modern Japan, the story incorporates fantasy elements and consists of three short comics: "N°1 The Witch," "N°2 The Liar," and "N°3 The Crow." Notably, the comics are created using a combination of black and white and color, with various colorful surprises unfolding as the plot progresses. According to my precise calculations, 50 pages are in color, making up about one-third of the entire book.

Finally, there are 13 pages of interviews between the editors and the authors, discussing the entire creative background, story concept, and the creative process of drawing!

Izumi-sensei's illustrations and character designs are incredibly captivating. There are many panels that I paused to admire closely. The larger size of "Miroirs" compared to typical comics allows for a better view of the details! In an interview at the end of the book, Izumi-sensei also mentioned that the coloring method has been slightly changed compared to his previous comic presentation, aiming to create vivid images (fewer halftone dots and midtones, emphasizing black and white contrast) to make the images more harmonious; overall, it is a series of works aimed at adult readers.
