The buying frenzy for the special edition of "New World Carnival Game Setting Collection" was terrifying; I finally managed to buy one copy from the Taiwan Kadokawa website.

"NU: Carnival" is a BL mobile game developed by the Taiwanese game studio Infinity Alpha in collaboration with Shida Games, and was released on February 24, 2022. Its unprecedented scale, gameplay, and character style quickly swept through the community 🤣 (over 2 million downloads within a month of release).

What's so special about the special edition? It's a bit puzzling that the official version uses a code for the regular edition and no code for the special edition (doesn't that mean printing two versions? 🤣). Besides that, the special edition includes: 2 hanging scrolls, a set of 4 postcards, a Toppa Pleco transparent card, and in-game items. Considering all the extras, the art book, and the converted in-game item value, it's quite a good value overall.

The hanging scrolls come in two versions: one for all members and one for Ide, and the quality seems pretty good. The festive greetings on the postcards are all included in the art book. The Instagram border on the Toppa PP transparent card is quite versatile!

The outer box/cover illustration is not included separately in the art book; the black background image on the back cover is the same line art as the cover.

The art book contains a lot of content, including character designs, visual illustrations (festival illustrations), four-panel color comics, scenes, enemies, props and objects, theme songs, and the HCGs that everyone is most concerned about (3 pictures and a short text for each character, but only the main storyline).

Finally, there's an interview with the producer, giving you a glimpse into the game's creation process.

However, this book doesn't include detailed settings for the various special events in the game (White Storm, Spring Hunting Festival, Fairy Flower Banquet, Midsummer Idol Festival). We'll compile them into a separate book later when we have more material! 🥺
