I personally love the pink design that runs throughout the book; the binding is very clever—the iridescent glossy cover, the raised sticker-like decorations, the purple semi-transparent spine, and the spiral binding on the inside cover and pages, all mimicking a notebook. 🗒

At the very beginning of the book, you can see new works and brief interviews with five illustrators: NAKAKI PANTZ, Soreyu, Nekopota, Yoko, and Harawatachyunko. Each illustrator's work is featured on approximately four pages or less, condensing many of their outstanding pieces into a single volume.

The endnotes include detailed information about each creator, including: a personal profile, social media accounts, page numbers of their works included in the book, responses to two common themes, and a message to readers. The final index features portraits of all the illustrators, and the carefully designed retro cards, neon fonts, and illustrations are adorable!

As the title "Neo Retro" suggests, the illustrations included are mainly works that blend the themes of "Neo" and "Retro," with a very distinct and strong style. The elements I observed in the works include: color blocking, neon colors, high saturation, subculture, retro video games, retro clothing, and so on.

Each illustrator's work is very unique, but when they are collected together, they are surprisingly harmonious in terms of theme!

I don't know how to describe it, I can only say it's so trendy XD
