日本插畫家「松尾裕美（マツオヒロミ）」最新推出的個人作品集《The Garden of Wanhua Mirror》，是繼《A carefully selected collection of popular painters Hiromi Matsuo", "Waltz", "Rondo》後，第四本推出的商業出版品。

從封面插畫就可以欣賞到マツオヒロミ筆下極具特色的作品風格，結合日式與西方元素，帶出華麗服飾與人物相互輝映著的魅力；書中也有這幅封面插畫的繪製過程和說明。🎨

畫集分成四個大章節，依序是「和服 • 復古摩登」、「裝幀 • 廣告 • 商業插畫」、「設計」、「封面繪製過程＆Tips」，將マツオヒロミ過去的許多精彩作品集結於此，包括個人創作、展覽與商業作品、周邊商品、同人誌等。

除了一覽作品軌跡、欣賞插畫，也搭配著由作者說明的設計細節、世界觀設定文字。

令我印象深刻的是架空女性時尚雜誌《Rondo》（RONDO）的背景發想、在字型上的設計。還有一個段落是節選作品的花紋圖案、和服、人物髮型髮飾進行介紹。

最後是 10 頁的草圖與靈感筆記，以及 6 頁的作者訪談與後記。

這本《The Garden of Wanhua Mirror》的中文版由台灣的瑞昇出版社獲得代理，2023 年 9 月與《Rondo》同時推出繁體中文版，可以透過文字更加了解作品背後的設計理念，兩本都很值得一收！🥰

About the Author

Matsuo Hiromi

Japanese illustrator.

Born in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture in 1980, she once moved to Kobe City and now resides in Okayama Prefecture.

She began working as an illustrator in 2010, primarily depicting female figures and specializing in classical elements such as kimonos and decorations. In addition to commissioned work on book covers, illustrations, and advertising posters, she has also contributed to calendars and product visuals.

Published her first work in 2016.WaltzThe book, titled "The Story of the Stone," has sparked a craze. With its exceptional taste in color, precise and delicate composition skills, attention to detail, and beautiful style created by fashionable sensibility, it has captivated countless readers and has been featured in numerous art galleries and events.

In addition, they actively participate in cross-industry collaborations, launching co-branded products such as fans, women's shoes, and scarves. They have also designed characters for hand-drawn animation works and designed merchandise for popular musicians.

In 2023, a series showcasing the 100-year history and splendor of a fictional magazine was launched.RondoIt won the first prize in the Manga category of the 52nd Japan Cartoonists Association Awards.
