"JOY: Tiny Joys" is a personal watercolor art collection published in 2022 by Taiwanese illustrator Kaizbow.
The author explains the title of the art book: "The title 'Joy' signifies a small joy. The name comes from the fact that compared to the pain in the process of painting, the joy that comes to me is very small. Even so, it has sustained me this far and brought me here—"
The cleverly designed binding and printing give it a premium feel! ✨
A4 hardcover art book with a deformed cover. The book cover features a starry background with twinkling stars, and the title is printed in iridescent silver laser. Surprisingly, the inner cover is another complete illustration, a delightful surprise.
This collection features a selection of the artist's watercolor paintings from 2014 to 2022. The content is rich and captivating, with every detail in each work worthy of careful appreciation and understanding! 🎨
The paintings mostly span fairy tales, fantasy, and Eastern and Western cultures, with an approachable yet mysterious style. I personally especially love the various clothing and pattern designs, as well as exquisite and creative objects of all sizes.
Overall, this is a very worthwhile personal publication collection to collect!
