Now that I've finished watching the fifth part of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure anime, Golden Wind, I'm also unboxing this art book!

The anime is currently at its 6th season, Stone Ocean, and the manga is at its 8th season, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Hirohiko Araki could probably keep drawing for another 500 years (?) 🤣 (Given his seemingly non-aging rate)

The art book "JoJo 6251 - The World of Hirohiko Araki" was first published at the end of 1993. The copy I have is the 19th printing from 2013, and it's still being reprinted. The JoJo craze continues to thrive!

(The "6251" in the book title comes from the total number of pages in Parts 1 to 4 of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, okay?)

The hardcover is made of textured paper; the cover is white with the main character of Part 4, Josuke Higashikata, and the spine is black with white text.

The pull-out posters at the beginning of the book are great. Besides being double-sided, the two tri-fold pages in the middle unfold into a large character tree, which includes important characters from the fourth generation!

This art book includes color illustrations from the first half of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Parts 1–4 (Phantom Bloodline, Battle Tendency, Stardust Expedition, Diamond Is Unbreakable), as well as other setting content (including character introductions, backgrounds, key plot points, and adventure trajectories). Each section roughly occupies half the book. However, since the latter half's setting sections are mostly presented in text (Japanese), it's not very easy to understand XD

Only someone who watches the anime can feel the production team's dedication; they really tried their best to faithfully recreate the original JoJo's Bizarre Adventure setting.

What I found particularly thoughtful was the chronicle of major events with dates, as well as the character dictionary and terminology dictionary at the back!

The book includes the drawing process of the cover artwork, and at the end there is an interview with Hirohiko Araki and introductions to his past works, totaling about 10 pages.

(I really like the layout of this book XD)

Araki Hirohiko

Japanese male manga artist, born in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture.

His representative work, *JoJo's Bizarre Adventure*, began serialization in *Weekly Shonen Jump* in 1987. It is known for its unique art style and paneling, and its plot explores the theme of "celebrating humanity." He has won the Tezuka Award in the Japanese manga industry.
