"Longing Town" is the first personal art book published by Chinese illustrator "Donglongdong" in 2021, which includes more than 80 illustrations he created between 2017 and 2020.

The entire book and series meticulously craft the fictional world of "Wondertown." "A place where all things coexist, a land of longing," is the meaning the author imbues "Wondertown" with. Through the daily lives and various activities of the characters, the book presents "Wondertown," a region that exists between fantasy and reality! 🐑

The book comes with a map poster of "Longing Town" (the island is shaped like an octopus 🐙) and a booklet that looks like a passport (cute! It even has a resident card). The booklet contains 52 pages of colorful illustrations about daily life in the town, which is quite impressive.

The art book is hardcover, and the overall binding and layout details are very well done. The inner cover features a small silver-embossed octopus, and the book's spine is designed to resemble an airline ticket. The chapters are arranged in a guided tour of "Dream Town," with the maps on the dividing pages lighting up the next area (along with cute icons), making it easy to immerse yourself in the guided tour experience XD

The illustration style is incredibly soothing and therapeutic to look at. The creative compositions, vibrant natural landscapes, and flora and fauna make you want to jump right into this world! 💙

"Longing Town" is a collection of paintings by the author Dong Longdong. "Longing Town" is a virtual space created by the author, and the manuscript introduces the layout, residents, animals, and other aspects of "Longing Town." The manuscript is divided into four parts: "Sea Breeze," "Longing Town," "Shangri-La," and "North Island Scenery." It introduces the scenery of virtual locations such as "Longing Town West Station," "Seashell Village," "Never-Sleeping Tower," "Seashell Beach," "Tern Bridge," and "Mountain City." The author uses vibrant colors and lively brushstrokes to depict the distinctive architecture of each location and the lives of the residents.
