necömi, a Japanese illustrator known for her beautiful and fantastical art style that combines delicate, beautiful girls with stunningly beautiful, otherworldly scenes, and is popular in various art fields such as games, light novels, and Vtuber character design, will be holding a solo exhibition, "Barrel Organ｜necömi Taiwan," at d/art Gallery in Ximending, Taipei, from July 27 (Sat) to August 25 (Sun), 2024!
necömi, who loves drawing cat ears and cute girls, uses delicate brushstrokes to create a rhythmic soundscape around the adorable girls in her paintings, depicting flowing hair, scattered light and petals, and fluttering birds and butterflies. Her debut art book, 『PHONOGRAPHICThe exhibition is named after the English word for a phonograph, which collects sound. It extends necömi’s joyful and melodious works, so the English word for this exhibition is “Barrel Organ”, which is an automatic playing instrument that is played in the streets, squares or churches when festival markets or circuses come.
"Barrel Organ｜necömi Taiwan Solo Exhibition" will showcase nearly 90 new paintings and commercial works from recent years. Several of her prized paintings, an exhibition catalogue, and merchandise will be available on-site. We look forward to welcoming necömi enthusiasts to browse and purchase. From July 27th (Sat) to August 25th (Sun), 2024, wander through the city's alleyways and discover a delightful and memorable experience at d/art Gallery in Ximending!

necömi
An illustrator who loves cats and desserts.
Not only can they skillfully manipulate light and shadow, but they can also delicately depict the changes in characters and scenes at every moment. They have participated in a lot of character design work and are very particular about details.
In 2022, she held a solo exhibition and participated in events such as the 100 Japanese Illustrators Exhibition, further expanding her creative scope. She also enjoys interacting with her dog recently.
