LOIZA, the Taiwanese ink illustrator who sparked a yokai craze with her "Shan Hai Hui Juan" and "Hyakki Yagyō Shou" series, has recently reissued her out-of-print masterpieces from 15 years ago, "Wild Cursive Night Parade I" and "Wild Cursive Night Parade II," as a new two-volume set, "Wild Cursive Night Parade 1+2 New Edition." She has been invited by d/art to hold the "Wild Cursive Night Parade | LOIZA Art Book Publication Commemorative Exhibition" from February 8th (Sat) to March 9th (Sun), 2025!
LOIZA, who has been living and working as a game concept designer overseas in recent years, founded "Day and Night Workshop" and has since planned and created numerous original art books. She has also actively held exhibitions and events, becoming one of the representative artists of Taiwan's original art scene. Later, with her passion for games and years of research on character design, she created a charming method for character design. Her creative activities expanded from her original art illustrations to areas such as concept development, world setting, and character design. She has also moved from Taiwan to the international stage, becoming a top art creator that many young creators admire and aspire to be.
The "Wild Cursive Night Walk | LOIZA Art Book Publication Commemorative Exhibition" will showcase nearly 70 selected paintings from the "Wild Cursive Night Walk 1+2 New Edition," and will also feature nearly 15 new color works by LOIZA from recent years. During the exhibition, LOIZA will return to Taiwan to hold a book signing event and creative sharing lecture on February 15th (Saturday) and February 22nd (Saturday). Several collectible paintings and exhibition merchandise will also be available for purchase by LOIZA enthusiasts. ▍About the Author
LOIZA
Her pen name means "freedom," reflecting her aspiration to freely roam between painting and her ideals. She excels at combining traditional techniques with digital painting to create her personal "ink and color painting" style and is passionate about researching various forms of design. In 2009, she founded "Day and Night Workshop," planning and creating several original art books and actively holding exhibitions and events, sparking a wave of yokai (supernatural) trends.
Driven by his love for Riot Games' "League of Legends," and combining it with years of experience in character design research, he successfully created a captivating character design approach that garnered widespread attention. His creative work expanded from original art and illustration to areas such as concept development, world-building, and original character design. He currently serves as the Concept Art Manager at Riot Games, responsible for concept design and illustration direction for the Global Marketing Creative projects of "Legends of Runeterra" and "League of Legends."
