📍 Exhibition Introduction

d/art has collaborated with the Japanese quarterly magazine S to invite watercolor illustrator Yuko Suzu, who paints young girls, to exhibit "HANAKASURI-|Yuko Suzu's First Solo Exhibition in Taiwan" from September 13 (Sat) to October 12 (Sun), 2025!

From her solo exhibition in early 2022 to this year's "HANAYUI-" solo exhibition, Yuko Suzu has consistently used transparent watercolors to express the unique charm of her original paintings. The exhibition title "HANAKASURI-" is an extension of "HANAYUI-", referencing the traditional kasuri weaving technique. The dyeing technique of kasuri fabrics naturally presents the smudged effect of the outlines of handmade patterns. Just as Yuko Suzu strives to create a hand-painted texture that cannot be replaced by computer graphics, it is the "unexpectedness" that can only be produced by painting by hand!

"HANAKASURI -|Yuko Suzu's First Solo Exhibition in Taiwan" features 20 paintings, including a specially exhibited original watercolor painting. Digital collectible paintings and exhibition postcard sets are also available for purchase by fans of Yuko Suzu's art. The exhibition runs from September 13th (Sat) to October 12th (Sun), 2025. Come visit the 2nd floor of d/art to appreciate the unique charm of the original watercolor paintings ♥

Yukoring)

A painter and illustrator born in Osaka Prefecture.

Deeply influenced by shoujo manga and anime from a young age, she visualizes the unique context of Japan and depicts modern portraits of girls. Using traditional hand-painting techniques centered on watercolor to express popular culture illustrations, her works are not merely "illustrations to be appreciated on the screen," but also give the works an experiential feeling of "encountering" in real space, and she continues to pursue new forms of painting.
