📍 Exhibition Introduction
Zero Iwamoto, a talented Japanese illustrator who served as the main visual illustrator for many Nijisanji events and designed costumes for Vtuber groups, has been invited to exhibit "Fusion Impact|Zero Iwamoto's First Solo Exhibition in Taiwan" at d/art Gallery in Ximending from August 15th (Sat) to September 13th (Sun), 2026!
Zero Iwamoto graduated from the Sculpture Department of Tokyo University of the Arts. His formal sculpting training has given him a precise grasp of three-dimensionality, spatial relationships, and material representation, imbuing his paintings with a breathtakingly vivid body language and strong visual appeal. From light novel cover illustrations, game key visual design, and anime character design to key visual art for large-scale VTuber events, he has quickly made a name for himself in the commercial field. With astonishing cross-disciplinary skills, he has made a brilliant transition from sculpture to become one of Japan's most prominent and accomplished illustrators.
The first solo art book by Iwamoto Zero in 2024, "REFLECTION," includes delicate and beautiful line drawings for character designs and cover illustrations, as well as powerful, impasto oil paintings that interpret the key visuals for games and large-scale events. It showcases Iwamoto Zero's expressive ability to quickly capture the core atmosphere and accurately switch between styles and techniques depending on different projects, media, and worldviews. The diverse styles, while maintaining a high degree of personal recognition, perfectly demonstrate the exhibition title "Fusion Impact."
"Fusion Impact|Zero Iwamoto's First Solo Exhibition in Taiwan" will showcase multiple key visual illustrations and Vtuber costume designs by Nijisanji, key visual illustrations for the anime "The Murderous Girl of Immortality," commemorative illustrations for Kurikarae from the game "Touken Ranbu," cover illustrations for the new editions of "Delphinia Senki" and "Ryu no Ikkodan," as well as original artwork from his "reincarnation," "DAWN," and "EXTRA vol.1" series. In addition, Zero Iwamoto will provide a brand-new key visual illustration and nine new works specially for his first solo exhibition in Taiwan, totaling more than 80 artworks.
