In Unboxing Wowo's "I am different from it! : Illustrated picture books of similar animals"When I was a kid, I remembered this picture book "Everyone Come to the Zoo" that I loved so much when I was a kid! (Thanks to my mother for buying it for me)
Taking a picture book is quite a powerful book, I 100% agree with the two exclamation mark sentences on the cover-it is very interesting to read! , Happy to walk in!
The table of contents page is designed to link up with animals, as if you are really visiting a zoo. Perhaps the animal steward in the image of the author Hiroshi Abe is also very funny XD (I instantly remembered the popular animal steward elimination game before)
Who said that the Japanese can’t get the sense of humor, this book is super right to me~
I don’t know how I read when I was a child, I just know that now I feel quite relieved when I read it. Sometimes an animal is introduced from an observation angle that is not commonly thought of, which is educational.
Let me give you a few examples that impressed me:
Usually, people’s impression of "snakes" tends to be hateful or scary. The picture books show the characteristics of snakes, which are analogous to animals or objects with the same characteristics (but humans don’t hate these things). In the end, the characteristics that humans "like" are placed on snakes (like the ones with hair and often grinning), and they become nondescript creatures. Sure enough, snakes still have to look like snakes.
In addition, the small humorous jokes that are often interspersed are even more unexpected to prevent XD (refer to the picture directly)
I especially want to mention the "monkey" side. Surrounding the page are the residents of Monkey Mountain (the appearance and name of each one), which is very unique!
Finally, after seeing all the animals, we come to "human", who is also a kind of animal. From the point of view of zoo animals, man is a very strange animal.
The illustrations in the picture book are matched with the text very precisely. Through the small blocks, we can answer many questions that we may have grown from small to large but did not earnestly search for the answer.
The only pity is that there are no foxes (X)
Stumbled upon the publication of "Everyone visit the zoo (new version)",Yes 2013 versionIf you have the opportunity to take a look at the new version.
But I probably still prefer Hiroshi Abe's illustrations!
Official Introduction
The cover of this book clearly stated that "Everyone Comes to the Zoo" is a book "It's fun to read, and it's fun to walk in." Yes, it is a book that will make you smile from beginning to end. From the common bunny, tortoise, lion, tiger and elephant, to penguins, polar bears and skunks, the book includes more than 20 kinds of animals. One of its most interesting and special features is used as an introduction point, such as: "The camel's hump is a bento", "The elephant's nose is a genius", "The peacock's feathers have many eyes", etc. There is nothing here. Eight hundred serious introduction texts, or difficult and difficult biological knowledge, the whole book is run through cartoon-like humorous graphics, sometimes in a "comparative" way (wild wolf and dog; tiger and cat; raccoon and raccoon); Sometimes we use "fantasy" questions (does panma have streaks in the stool? The snake is annoying because we don’t know what it’s thinking?); sometimes it’s anthropomorphic. A great bear needs to read more; the flustered mother kangaroo accidentally let the little kangaroo fall out), thoroughly practicing the meaning of "entertainment with fun", this is a book that emphasizes both fun and knowledge, let readers In the imaginative text, learn the characteristics of various animals.
Each animal introduced in the book has a cross-page color picture. The author Hiroshi Abe’s painting techniques are varied, sometimes with delicate brushstrokes, outlines the hundreds of thousands of thorns on the hedgehog; sometimes with bright and bold The color blocks draw the sika deer in the forest, and each big picture also has a small cartoon-like picture next to it. The "speech bubble" makes the visual effect of the whole picture rich and not disordered. As far as pictures are concerned, "Everyone Comes to the Zoo" can be said to be a lively picture book.
At the end of the book, the author regards "human" as a kind of animal, and describes the person in their mind from the perspective of other animals: "Human is a very strange animal. It eats ice cream with its front feet and swings with its back feet." Seeing this, readers of all sizes couldn't help laughing. Such an alternative "Everyone Come to the Zoo" is full of fun to stroll around!
