"Become Your Forest" is a collection of short essays and healing illustrations created by Korean illustrator Aeppol (애뽈), and is a picture book in the size of a regular book.

The illustrations revolve around the daily lives of the "forest girl" on the cover and her friends (a deer-like dog and a squirrel), leading readers through the seasons, across illusion and reality, to find their own peace in the everyday! 🌱

Each scene is captivating, especially the girl's varied and exquisite clothing, interior decorations, and daily necessities; the styles and patterns are incredibly creative.

The content is consistently and concisely arranged, with chapters differentiated by themes and subheading colors. Despite being mostly text, it doesn't feel like there are few images; in fact, there are plenty of pictures throughout (224 pages!). You might feel like you can't finish it all at once XD

In addition to the Chinese text, the book also includes English and Korean translations, adding a language practice function to the book. 😆

Even in moments of utter exhaustion, I feel a surge of happiness at being able to paint. I find happiness in childhood fairy tales, stories from my dreams, a tiny wildflower, and the smallest things like blue skies and white clouds, and I turn them into artwork.

Aspiring to become an artist who shares feelings and thoughts with everyone through their paintings, Aeppol continues to draw in her familiar notebook today, just like always.
